The process used by commercial CO2 generators is quite simple. A clean burning gas such as propane or natural gas is burned through a burner like is found in a stove or furnace. Each pound of gas burned yields about 3 pounds of CO2, or about 25 cubic feet. The generation principal works on all levels. Large commercial generators are used in greenhouses and large area growth chambers. A simple and small alcohol lamp can be used in a closet growth chamber to provide CO2 enhancement, although I cannot recommend a flame in a room with combustible materials.
