Being the strange child (almost an adult) that my niece is. This was the perfect gift for her.

Fluffy stuff and Football matches.

Ok, what else am I meant to do on a Sunday afternoon, I can’t have the sewing machine on the go it might drown out the football commentary, I have 2 little ones to keep an eye on, as foot ball and kids don’t mix (or so I’m told), sewing by hand or knitting are out of the question (sharp, pointy needles + Kids = trips to casualty).

So out came the blunt hooks and a random ball of fluffy wool.

Several football matches later, I have a whole range of them.

Mmm…..Cookies!!!!!

Chocolate chip cookies, almost good enough to eat. I’ve turned these ones into a set of Stitch markers, for knitting or crochet.

Star Baby Blanket

Another one completed, I have made several of these, every new baby I meet gets one. I have recently realised that the American idea of knitting and crocheting on the move really does work. I’m still not sure about crocheting on the bus into town, but it does help make those longer car journeys go a bit quicker.

This blanket is only quite small, about the right size for using with a car seat.

Crochet Hook Roll

One of my crafty passions at the moment is crochet. I only learnt how to crochet at christmas, I was looking for a craft that I could easily pick up and put down, but that also had effective results. Crochet was that craft, all you need is a hook and a ball of wool and you are set to go. I thought that my new craft deserved some new accessories, so in a sewing moment I ran up a crochet hook roll and a bag for my projects. The bag came out a little larger than planned, but it means I can have several projects on the go and keep them all in one place.
