Janette's Crafty Goodies

This Little Piggy Went To Market.

Ok, so I havn't been on to update since Christmas Eve,  I've been having my post christmas crafting lull,  I don't know if it's the weather, but I can never get motivated to craft at the start of the year.

I've recently started on a few items, but I havn't got pics yet, so I thought I'd get some of my older things put up for you all to share.

Mary (from the farmers market) asked me for some piggy earrings, phone charm and stitch markers.  These are what I came up with.

She obviously liked them as I've seen her wearing the earrings a couple of times now.

Mmmmmm Chocolate!!!

A friend of mine had me treking all round Whitehaven trying to find dolly Mixtures.  Does nowhere sell them anymore??  We didn’t manage to find them,  so I decided to make some for her instead.

Turned a few of them into a pair of earrings so she will always have dolly mixtures. Even if she can’t eat them.

Foody Phone charms

Made a couple of the fimo beads into mobile phone charms.  They have been varnished and details have been added to the peapod to cuten them up (is cuten a word, spell check doesn’t recognise it)

Fimo Food Frenzy

Considering I never cook, I had the oven on overdrive at the weekend, and I was making food.  Only thing is it’s not of the edible variety.

All of these have holes so they can be used as beads or charms.

Not sure that coffee beans count as food, but I'll include them anyway.

Food Glorious Food

Can’t cook, or rather wont cook.  Sandwiches and cakes are the extent of my real cooking skills,  so I replicated them in Fimo.  Not sure what to use them for yet, but I think they are just so cute.

No I didn't make the 20p piece,  Its just there for a size guide!!!!!

Pacman

I was really pleased with how Mondays fimo efforts turned out so I decided to make some more.

I remember when we got our Atari, all those years ago.  (I’m still not sure if my dad got it for me and my sisters or if it was really for him!!!)  The first game we all played on it was Pacman, all the fights over who’s turn it was next,  all the “she’s had longer than me, Its not fair!” (It’s just the same now we’re all grown up!).  Now I have my very own pacman complete with ghosts.  These will be made into earrings along with Mondays Mario and Jack charms.

The 2p is just to give an idea of size.

If any of you want to give me some inspiration with memories of your early computer games then please leave a comment.  Or if you’re like me and old enough to remember playing pacman when it was out on the Atari share those memories with everyone.

Mario and Nightmare before Christmas

Last nights creative offerings are a little obscure.  I wanted to do something that I hadn’t done for ages, something little and fun.  Out came the fimo and all the little tools.  I was never very good with modelling clay,  my talents just about managed a snake or a snail in the past.  Took my time and managed a Mario mushroom, Mario star and two Jack Skellingtons.   I intend to make these into earrings for my niece.  Given her strange tastes I’m sure she’ll love them. (I know she’ll love the Jack ones.)
